Anyone else annoyed by all the headlines about which company is the most valuable? AMZN, AAPL, MSFT. Why does it matter?

Well if you’re looking for marketcap expansion then yea, duh, don’t invest in the super caps. But there’s more forms of investing outside growth investing.

Some are likely using a high cap tech stock as an alternative to a tech etfs. I have Apple as an alternative to QQQ, and enjoy the dividends as well as capital appreciation without an expense ratio. (And without holding all the risky companies)

Sure the yahoo finance notifications and those round tables are a joke, but I doubt retail investors are moving these marketcaps much. It’s the institutional money that can’t afford to not hold a piece.

Am I skeptical of Amazon’s valuation, you bet, but do I call it BS propagated by the media. Nah
