Yeah, I’ve completely given up on dating until I lose a significant amount of weight because of this. I gained a lot of weight during the height of COVID and as soon as I got both my shots I went back on dating apps. But I quickly noticed that I wasn’t getting nearly as many messages as I did years past. Then it clicked: because I’m fat. I wasn’t no pixie when I was younger, I was a “good” kind of fat, I guess; just thicc lol. But now? Just fat. I have a pretty accurate image of myself, so right around when I really noticed how bad I looked in photos or how big I looked in the mirror was when the messages stopped coming in. It’s also fucking with myself esteem in a brand new way that I never thought was possible before because I never really had bad self image issues. But yeah, dating def just makes it worse with how awful and shallow men are. But tbh, I can’t blame them too much because I don’t want to be with a fat guy either.
