Anyone else been impressed with Ubisoft lately?

There’s way more money in Enterprise software than gaming.

Companies pay more, complain less, pay for updates, pay for advanced features without throwing their toys out of the cot (Standard Vs Enterprise edition software is basically day 0 DLC), pay for support, and so on and so forth. Not to mention your typical game developer needs a higher education due to an advanced requirement in algebra , physics, and so forth.

Gaming - before Micro-transactions at least - is an industry of passion. Not the same margins that Microsoft shareholders expect.

The whole reason I think MSFT bought Minecraft btw was to save Windows Phone and ensure it had a “killer app” at the time.
