Anyone else contemplating switching to the S8?

What's so good about iOS though? I never get this argument that software is what locks people in.

It's a phone. You make calls. You send texts. You read email, browse the web, check your calendar/notifications/set alarms and use various apps. Sure there are minor things that are different - iMessage, whatever. But the fact is there is nothing but minor things to pick at there. OLED, screen size, battery life/charging, these are major things that actually affect what your device can do functionally.

It boggles my mind that Android has had such selection in hardware and been far superior to Apple in that regard for years, yet people still think their only option is the iPhone because of iOS. What is so good that makes iOS a deal-breaker? I find it far more likely that people are just locked into the ecosystem and are acting on irrationality. Kind of like how people on r/politics feel going to r/The_Donald and vice versa. People need to open their minds and stop labeling both sides with false impressions.
