Anyone else get depressed about climate change?

I don’t know if it’s really called climate anxiety for me, but after a heatwave in my province killed over 600 people and millions of wildlife a few years ago things changed for my perspective. Entire towns burnt down, our highways were swept away by floods months after because the damage from the lack of trees caused landslides. It made me realize we were completely unprepared. We fixed the highways and made memorials for those who passed, but haven’t really done anything to prepare for when the next “once in a lifetime” heatwaves hits, and it will. When I talk to people here about it, I get 3 reactions. The first is complete denial. The second, they admit that climate change is real but that humans aren’t the main cause, therefore not taking any steps for change. And the third feel the same way I do. It’s not really anxiety anymore. It’s apprehension. It’s grief. We know the steps to change but it’s just not happening currently. but there’s only so much you can do personally to manage anxiety and depression when 50 degrees for a week makes you unable to go outside because of smoke so thick you can’t see the neighbours house, and all the crops dying for the season. If that doesn’t give people anxiety, then I don’t know what will at this point.
