Anyone else dislike churches’ inefficient uses of your time?

Church is not some industrial enterprise which is about efficiency.

Also, your concern with getting out of church as soon as possible would seem to be in conflict with Jesus' teachings to put God first over every other aspect of our lives, even family.

Nevertheless, you might want to consider coming over to us Catholics. Mass in most churches takes only 1 hour. The sermon itself is just a few minutes, not the half hour or longer thing it is among the Protestants. And technically you only need to show up for the Eucharist. In fact, some churches even sound a bell at the start and end of Eucharist so you know you got there in time and that you are safe to leave. That would cut church down to maybe 15 minutes or less for you.
