Anyone else doing the St. Catherine OTA program?

I'm in my last semester of the program, doing fieldwork! So far, I've loved St. Catherine and the OTA program. I'm a young mommy and have been working full time up until now, so squeezing in school has required lot of discipline, organization, dedication, and effort. But, definitely doable. i graduated high school and jumped straight into community college for a semester to obtain my pre req's (meanwhile, an adviser with St. Kate's kept in contact almost weekly), then did a semester at St. Kate's doing some more coursework involving their smaller-credit liberal art science courses, and then finally jumped into the "full" program. So, instead of the 16 months they project, it's taken me almost 2 years, which I'm fine with. It's my first time in college and my first degree, fresh out of high school. The program is also available in Virginia, and I currently live near Harrisonburg, in the Shenandoah Valley. I drove 2.5 hours every month for a year for labs in Williamsburg, and my lab instructor was the best. I also completed 3-days of level I fieldwork in Hampton and Newport News in November and December of 2016. Had to stay in a hotel with one of my classmates, and we joked we were college roommates for those few nights. Yes, this program is accredited. Your professors in at least one of your courses will be going over the NBCOT and licensing as well as looking at finding a job. The key is to stay on track, organized, and keep up with due dates. You have to have a passion for OT for sure. My experience with level I FW has been amazing, and I'm sure level II will be even better! In general, the school stays in good contact with you throughout. If you have any more specific questions, just let me know. You can also find us on Facebook, St. Katie's OTA Katies.
