Anyone else experiencing chronic loneliness due to difficulty maintaining friendships/relationships?

Me too!

I have BPD as well as ADHD so my behaviour can be really erratic in relationships and some of my decisions really upset people around me.

I’ve got really good at asserting and protecting myself in relationships recently which seems to have sent shockwaves through my friendships, suggesting I had quite superficial relationships and not really any true friends. However, this has left me feeling really hopeless and alone since I now have only my boyfriend to be my everything (I don’t have any relationships with family due to abuse/broken home).

Like you, I really struggle with building and maintaining friendships unless there’s some context e.g. school and the pandemic has made it hard to meet people in groups etc.

It’s honestly really, really hard but don’t give up x
