lol the way the book is write whole purpose of he show is the different genres of horror hike facing the very real horror racism. Lovecraft was a racist horror writer who broke many barriers with the way he told stories and incorporated monsters into them.

The central story is that of the main characters (Tic, Leti, Ruby, Hippolyta, Montrose) and their battle with generational trauma, horrific event trauma, the discovery of magic, and being black in America in the 1950s (racism). Each episode is an ode to another amazing genre in horror. While they are constantly faced with the threat of death, rape, or beating beat on they are still facing magical creatures, magicians, and supernatural demons.

It’s horror mixed with some very monumental historical moments, figures, and some AMAZING women.

I could watch a whole season of the cult and learning all about the sons of Adam but the show was meant as a limited series and they were staying true to the book. Well somewhat true, some things are different and others are not.
