Anyone else feeling like this series just doesn't have the emotional maturity to give the emotional levity necessary to the big moments of book 2 and 3?

Don’t want to beat a dead horse, and no one here should take an offense for an internet opinion on a person they don’t know and will never receive this offense- but I’d have to say that from an objective standpoint, he struggles to emote. That’s pretty universally a sign for mediocre acting. The same expression and monotone line delivery throughout. His eyebrows move...sometimes? Maybe he’s a victim of his character? That they put him in a position of always running away, whining, struggling, crying, or moping in most scenes throughout doesn’t help. Or maybe it’s that outshined by the powerhouses around him? Idk. He just doesn’t vibe with the rest of the show to me. No one (at least in my friend circles) I’ve talked to so far has felt he was a good fit, but I get what you mean!
