Anyone else hope that this game has fancy slim armors and melee weapons (ala swords, katana, spears, etc)

Once you're inside 30 feet though a melee weapon is significantly more dangerous than any gun.

What. Dude, no. You can't really believe this is true, right? Somebody trained with a melee weapon is not going to win against somebody trained with a gun from a distance of 30 feet. Guns are far more damaging than any melee weapons as well.

A cop will shoot you for a drawn knife faster than a drawn gun if you're within 25 feet, and that's what they're trained to do.

This is just outright false lol.

the ability to move the weapons large enough to damage that foe becomes an issue too. Moving a 9mm handgun is quick. Moving a 20mm cannon isn't, no matter what you're using to move it.

Agreed. Although I suggested that something like a shotgun/smg would be more effective than a hammer or any other melee weapon, and that's objectively true.

In the end, we're talking about a fantasy game with flying mech warriors. I don't really care, and I'm sure they'll put in melee weapons to appease the fanbase like Destiny did. I'm just saying it's annoying when games make melee weapons OP, when realistically their damage output should not be in any way comparable to guns and explosives.
