Anyone else noticing a more open, shameless rise in Orientalism and racism and prejudice with the World Cup actually starting? True colors are really showing of what they think of MENA people

No other group are more oppressive against women's rights? What about the rest of Africa? Or India? What about rape and femicide in central America? Do these not count?

Most of the world is homophobic, almost every country out of Europe and north America is not accepting of LGBT.

LGBT people in MENA are not treated well, but almost always just ignored. Execution is extremely rare and ditto for imprisonment, still terrible that these laws even exist but the reality is they're almost never practiced.

Take a look at Morocco. When was the last time a gay person was executed? When was the last time a gay person was executed in Jordan? Or Oman?

I just posted a link debunking the slavery in Libya story, you just didn't bother to read it.

Lebanon has a problem with the Kafala system, but why would you apply that to the rest of MENA? Most MENA countries have almost no south Asians living in them. Oh yeah, you're generalizing.

So yeah, you posted a list of stereotypes and half truths. There are of course serious issues, but you've gone for the big headlines and seen to believe in an exaggerated image of how things really are.
