Is anyone else opposed to UH opening a medical school?

I responded to 2/3 parts lol and the other part I responded to someone else but since you want everything answered here it goes:

Exactly it’s the students - whatever we do can only be done on such a small scale. Also - “A few years back I worked with an organization that was hosting a community health event at UH for third ward and it was actually something that the school encouraged us to do, but when we finally got everything up and running UH wouldn’t do anything to help us — they even wanted them to pay for parking (it was a weekend so lots were more than empty), which my organization ended up having to cover. It’s like they want the recognition, but don’t want to provide the resources.”

MD is not guaranteed primary care while DO almost is..
