Has anyone else played a ton, had a lot of lessons, but for some reason still can't get better?

here are two things i focus on when my game goes to total shit and i feel like i dont remember how to play golf anymore.

1 - keep your eye on the ball. lots of ppl start getting frustrated and start moving their head around, looking up early, doing all sorts of weird shit. stare at that motherfucker until you think it's half way to the hole to ensure you're actually using hand-eye coordination and not just guessing in your head where the ball is.

2 - this is more of a band-aid, but open your stance, weaken your grip, and slice the shit out of it. now you know which way the ball is going instead of wondering left or right. it's going way right. this will help with your course management, now if water is left you're safe, if water is right you aim way the fuck to the left so that even your hideous banana slice can't make it to the water. you can break 80 even with this intentionally garbage ball flight because you only miss 1 way.
