Anyone else struggle to get a job after getting out?

Yo I'm a dumb grunt that got out and got an engineering degree. I used my Post-9/11 and went to CC for 3 semesters full time and then transferred to a 4 year university to get my EE degree. Took 5 years from start to finish and my Post-9/11 carried me the whole way (except for the first and last semester).

I'll tell you straight up, it will be very hard to work even 20 hours a week and put enough effort into an engineering degree to make it worthwhile. If you graduate with a 2.0 it will almost have been a waste of time because you'll be right back in the same spot struggling to find a job. I made it work by living off my BAH, had a paid off car, a part-time retail job where I only worked 6-12 hours a week, and living with two room mates.

Run your own numbers accounting for all your household expenses and see if something like that is even attainable for you. If not, consider taking out a loan for school and living off part of that. There are plenty of stupid degrees to take out a loan to get, but engineering is not one of them.
