Anyone else thinking of quitting the hospital lab profession because of their coworkers?

ME!!! I work with 1 pervert and 1 manipulative coworker who will lead you into performing something incorrectly. He’s so fucking good at it too!

The pervert displays grooming behavior. As in a pedo grooming a child but using the technique on an adult.

The manipulative one almost made me release blood w/o doing a check. I was on break and they called me back to the blood bank because apparently a nurse needed blood right away. They told me they already checked patient history and said they have a check already done. He kept on rushing me to call the nurse so they could pick up the blood. Good thing I knew the check wasn’t done. Another time, I made a body fluid cytospin slide. The cytospin is located outside the main lab. They grabbed the slides from the cytospin and set it out to dry. When I looked at it after staining, there was nothing there even though the WBC count was high. I saw smudged WBCs as if they wiped off the specimen on the slide before coming back into the lab. I normally give benefit of the doubt in these situations but it kept happening over and over and over again!

Anyway, planning to look for another job. I hate it here. I hate people so much. The sad part is, I have done nothing to this guy.
