Anyone else tired of hearing recommendations of the same most-hyped popular mmos?

They are hyped because they are approachable mmos.

I played a ton of MMOs and a lot of the smaller, not hyped games are not hyped for a lot of good reasons.

I have played almost every game on your list and I enjoyed them a lot more than the games that were not on your list.

Other than rift (which is dead to me now) I used to love that game.

POE, GW1, Warframe which are amazing games, but barely considered mmos these days.

Other than that, the games are just either not great, or they have potential but a couple major flaws are holding them back.

I will agree I didn't enjoy black desert, I think it's great eye candy, but not much more. I am a PVE player and I didn't like Blade n Soul, I played the russian version for the past month. And both of those games get a lot of praise. I don't see much wildstar or wow praise these days, so i don't see why they are on your list.

GW2 is a great game to pick up, explore, do some dungeon, then get bored of, and it doesn't strive to be anything more than that. I feel everyone looking for an mmo should play gw2 just to see how cool mmos could be. Then when they get bored they can stop playing, no commitment, no loss.

Start recommending other games. I wouldn't recommend half the game I have played because I didn't enjoy them for one reason or another. Yet others have different opinions, so if someone wants a game for the reasons I didn't like a game, I might still recommend it. Like Path of Exile, I don't like to play purely because of the leveling system and the market, yet others have asked for just that "A player trade driven market without an auction house, and a game where you can do difficult versions of the same content."

Also on your hate for wow, I hate leveling in mmos. But I love endgame, wow is one of those that tries to give everyone something. People who love lore and leveling can have fun, people who love endgame need to push through that trash to get to endgame, then they will love it. Don't get me started on the state of the game, but you only played a small portion of the game, it's like judging a book by it's cover. Or a pie by it's crust.

As for your edit: you're more ranting and saying you don't like stuff, many believe that doesn't add to the discussion. If you made it more simple as "Hey guys let's not post as many of the big mmos everytime, here is a list of more fulfilling mmos that are not quite as known." Instead of "I played this game for 1 hour and it's the worst game ever, I played this other game for a little and just hated it." Like who are you? You're just a random dude who hates everything. You didn't really bring anything new to the discussion.
