Met my Portuguese boyfriend in Bangkok (we both lived there long term). We were supposed to “have fun” for a couple of months only before he left to Korea. After three months he left. We broke up. We couldn’t do it without each other and I moved to Korea. (I was just out of university, didn’t have much to lose but also nothing to gain really).

We lived in Korea for a little over six months when I understood I can’t be there anymore, job-wise, money-wise, visa-wise. So we both left to Russia (my country) and now we both live in Germany with good jobs now and pretty settled.

It was though. We both sacrificed a lot each and every move just to be with each other. If you’re willing to give it a go and risk something why not doing it? It can turn out to be your best decision or a beautiful experience.
