Anyone have experience with Airnet?

I know you asked about usage or experience with Airnet but I've personally never used them but I know a little bit about their service and I thought I'd share.

A little backgrould:

I've been using Skybeam (which uses similar equipment that Airnet uses, called Fixed Wireless, I believe is basically pointing a wireless dish at a tower with an access point on it), now Rise Broadband, for two years now and it sucks. It was great at first, but they've overloaded the APs on the tower I'm currently pointed at and I barely get 3Mb in the evenings, forget weekends. More like 1Mb.

Anyway, I also did some research into Airnet a few months ago. The plans you speak of are not the dedicated plans. What that means (assuming you don't already know) is that you share 6 or 9 with everyone else pointed at that AP, meaning during peak times, you're going to be like me and Rise Broadband and possibly have very slow internet. Even if someone were to step forward and say they have Airnet and tell you about their experience, when you get signed up you could be registered to a different AP on the tower or a different tower completely. If you do go with Airnet or even before you go with it, talk to a tech or people in the office and ask them about the tower you're going to be connecting to and how many are connected to those APs. The tech they sent out when my internet got bad for a while actually said he registered me to another AP on the tower that had fewer people on it. He said that the APs were built to efficiently handle about 40 connections and two of the three had almost 70 and one had just over 40. I like to believe what he said. He seemed like a good guy and knew what he was talking about. Since then the internet has worsened and I can only assume that they've added more clients to my AP, causing my connection to get really slow at peak times. This could be different for Airnet's equipment so that might be a good question to ask before you sign up.

From my research into Airnet I feel that the dedicated plans seem like a smarter deal than the 6 or 9 that's not dedicated. They're more expensive but at least you're guaranteed the speed. I think a dedicated 3Mb connection is their best offer. It's around $70, which is what I'm currently paying. If you're like me and don't share your internet with anyone, only game on occasion, stream and download, dedicated 3 is good enough. If you have a family/roommates and/or a really big gamer, then 3 is certainly not enough and you might want to consider the next package, if you can afford it. The only reason I haven't switched to Airnet yet is because I don't want to have to pay the setup for Airnet and for Rise Broadband to send out a tech to take down their equipment. Switching would cost me like 300 to 400 dollars.

If TW says they're coming out soon, you might not want to pay the setup/removal fees of Airnet. Or be locked in for a year (if they do year contracts. I can't remember).

TL;DR: If you go with Airnet and don't wait for TW, it's better to get the dedicated package through Airnet if you can afford it and don't have a lot of people using your internet at home.
