I'd suggest transferring out of TRU after your first year, thats what majority of us did. Nothing wrong with doing the first 2 years at TRU but there are things you will miss out on. For example if you did second year at tru you would miss ECE216 but will have to take ECE340, which is pretty much an extension of 216, so you will be missing a lot of previous knowledge there. But with a little extra studying thats nothing to worry about.

TRU was substantially easier, but it really depends on what profs you get once you come here and how dedicated you are (for example math200 used to be no formula sheet and no calculator, now its a calculator a formula sheet and they tell you what the questions will be on)

IMO, transfer to uvic for year 2, or do the full degree here in Vic. But in the end its totally up to you!
