Strange that you have troubles finding shows in Minneapolis. I'm from a different state and I've visited Minneapolis for over 20 throughout the past two years. I highly recommend the app Edm train. It obviously won't catch every event, but it'll get you started.

Facebook is a good tool for keeping up to date on shows. When you find an event on edm train that you like, go to Facebook and search for the event, and find out the name of the booking agency that made the show happen. Follow there page. Follow the pages of Dj's that you like, and if you meet a promoter at a show and he offers you his Facebook info, thats golden information.

After the following steps, you will have no problem finding shows, just prepare yourself for the barrage of various unknown Dj's, promoters, with their only connection to you being that one promoter you met that one time. If you press accept it will cause a chain reaction initiating more friend requests. Warning, or advice depending on how you perceive this :⁾
