Has anyone had this? If so, how would you describe it?

I have them. (For information, I also have migraines and trigeminal neuralgia.) I don't get them often due to medications and the cluster cycle, but when I do, they are utterly miserable. I am in a cluster right now.

My symptoms show up either early morning (around 6 AM) or late evening (between supper time and 2 AM.) I would say that the best way to describe mine in particular is having periods of the day that you feel just fine, then all of a sudden, you get hit with a pain that's a combination of "world's worst ice cream headache," "massive ice pick through skull," and "Zeus's lightning bolt slamming through skull" all at the same moment, all in one side of the head. I go blind, my sinuses literally cramp, my "teeth" (I have dentures) scream like they have been broken, and I start heaving my guts up. I usually feel like I'm about to die when it hits. We've been unable to identify any cause or even triggers, so there's no way to stop it.

Adding insult to injury, this gives me debilitating anxiety attacks around this time of year. So then you add the feeling that you might be having a heart attack at further random points. -10/10, do not recommend.
