Anyone had issues with high iron with vegan?

I eat abnormally a bit to feel baseline. I used to eat 1,000 calories of legumes a day. Now it’s 100-300, and more once or twice a week. Probably still at least 50g of protein a day. I’m not going to hurt myself for the sake of an idea. It would hurt me to eat that many legumes or high iron meals. It’s a distinctly different reality. Of course, because I‘m not super unhealthy, it’s an easy recovery. But that doesn’t change the fact that I know what’s going on here because of the sheer difference in health.

I think it’s good to use critical thinking with health. If I eat 10-15mg of iron each day, which is perfectly healthy, and I show big issues, it shows an obvious problem. Compared to me eating 3-5mg a day, to try and avoid the negative effects of too much iron, and not showing some obvious issue.

The fix is simple with blood drawing, so I think it’s a good idea to eat the high end of the RDI for iron to see if a true problem exists.
