7 Star Mantis has an rich history and story line.

1200: Invited as one of the 18 Shaolin Masters.

1800: Survive 600 years of Kung Fu school wars, duels the death, refinement of passed down knowledge and lineage of schools.

1850’s: GGGMaster (Lee San Jian) uses 7 Star Preying Mantis to defeat US Marines in Shanghai in Hand Combat. (Yes like IP man 4) This began a revolution in the worlds martial arts as all the worlds styles and cultures begin to clash. Eventually, The U.S military began expanding its combat program beyond boxing, wrestling and brawling. San Jian was a very short man, utilized complex, fast techniques, Defeating the larger Americans with backgrounds in boxing, wrestling. However San Jian supposedly refused to teach the Marines, and about the long length of time to master.

1905: Japan defeats Russia in war using Karate, Judo and Jujitsu. Also a weight disadvantage, Interest in foreign martial arts rose, However Chinese Martial arts has always been secretive.

1940’s: 7 Star Mantis refined by Lee San Jian is incorporated with GGGM Liu Yun Jiao and his BaJi Lineage to be used in World War 2, Chinese Special Forces Black Ops units. Most recruits already learned Long Fist but I suppose eye gouge training is best used by under cover spies. Impressed the U.S with their feats against Japan.

1950: Mao Ze Dong deducts culture destruction, and forces authentic martial artist to leave mainland China, forcing them to take refuge in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

1960’s: Rise of Hong Kong Cinema, However preying mantis was / is cast as a villainous martial arts.

1974: Wu-Tang System is founded, to preserve and protect authentic Chinese Martial arts. The lineage of Lee Shu Wen, Liu Yun Jiao and Lee San Jian lives with our system, Across the world.
