Has anyone here dated/married someone who had a kid in a previous marriage but doesn't want more kids? Does it work?

Could you handle being a parent full time until you or the child dies?

Tomorrow a horrid accident happens. Grandpa and mom and all other family die in this plane crash, but the child survives. The child has physical issues and needs which means he will never leave the home.

Can you handle it? As a childfree women, I couldn't thus I would never put myself in that situation. There are 6 families and 20 people between me and my niblings, but in the unlikely scenario I'd get them, I would require twice a week therapy for my husband and me plus a cleaning service, a maid, and so forth. That's only to get through the day. People who are childfree often need that, but it's doubtful you can actually get it... so why sign up for it?

He isn't the best guy on earth, my husband is. In all seriousness, even my loving amazing kind gentle husband isn't the only best husband in the world. I could find another one, as can you find someone who doesn't have children. It's harsh to say, but humans really aren't that special.
