Anyone in here poly?

Yeah, am a hinge in a V (all three of us are female). Funny thing is I always identified as non-monogamous because of my interest in having multiple sexual partners; I never actually identified as poly. It's something that I came to quite organically.

Basically I had a long-term partner and then I fell for one of my friends. Cue major crisis and period of reflection for everyone involved. After a lot of consideration, poly was the outcome.

Sometimes the balance is perfect and I feel like the luckiest girl alive. Other times there is instability and I feel emotionally drained. (It's been around 18 months.)

I'm not entirely sure what the future holds, because we're trying to determine what our individual goals are vs. couple goals, and whether the overlap aligns and fulfills all three of us. The challenge with a V is that there is no unit per se (although my two partners like and respect each other).

I'm glad your triad is working so well, sounds ideal.
