I can tell you the situation of my friends and I. We are a typical group who was born outside and raised in the gulf. The routes we took were:

1- parents decide to go back home, goes back home and has to settle now. situation now: OK but not satisfied - would rather work on self and improve as a person

2- decides to get married and go home. Situation: not OK, work bad, life is stressful, wants to relocate again.

3- goes to the far east, situation now: OK, lacking stability, considering relocation to the west.

4- decides to do continue education in the west, situation now: Good, no plans to relocate

we are all in late 20s, so i would say a lot of priorities will probably change, since most of us aren't married. There's a whole group that can be listed under 5 which i will do next.

5- still in the gulf, decided to marry and settle. conditions: Ok/good, life is hectic, but at least not suffering alone, no plans to settle back home.
