Do you live under a rock? Perdue bent to the pressure of litigation, Johnson & Johnson lost a lawsuit, others are agreeing to multi-state settlements.

If your criticism of Beshear is that going after opioid manufacturers is pointless then that's clearly a weak argument. The opioid manufacturers see the writing on the wall. They're also aware of the tobacco wars of the 90's which culminated in the Master Settlement Agreement requiring the tobacco companies to pay huge sums of money to the states for decades.
