Anyone who picks up a gun in Kashmir will be eliminated - Army

UNPOPULAR OPINION: I've always said this and will continue to hold on to my views: this isn't going to end well. In fact, all these statements from the army do is make the Kashmiri people feel oppressed. I know it's not meant like that but goodluck making the people understand that. At the end of the day, people are what matters. It is their thinking and general perception of the Indians that matters. This statement isn't going to stop a single person from picking up arms. Whatever this statement says, the Indian Army has been doing it's best anyway to eliminate those who pick up guns, and Kashmiris still picked up guns despite getting eliminated. It is past time that we ask ourselves this: Is this helping? All these threats to the militants and big talk from the military... is it helping? The bloodshed continues. Kashmir, a beautiful land gifted with resources that most only dream of, continues to turn into a wartorn shithole. None of this is being helpful. Threatening someone to keep their hands clean of violence is only gonna trigger the violence in them even more, because, at the end of the day, it is violence that you are using to keep tjem away from violence. What Kashmir needs is a change. A change in the people's thinking. The violence will continue unless you change the people's minds. Drive this hate for Indians out of their heads. India needs to know why they want to part from India, then work on the reasons that are driving them away. All this can be achieved only through diplomatic means. India needs proper politicians to solve Kashmir in a diplomatic manner. Stop expecting this from the Army. It's been decades since the army was given near complete power over Kashmir. It failed. And the Army can't be blamed. It is Army. What are you expecting? A solution to Kashmir issue through wars? Nah, not gonna work. Unless it's a big ass war to end all wars, these petty wars only breed more wars.
