Anyone who stands behind him is spitting in the face of every gay or black hate crime victim. His actions will undoubtedly aid a Trump re-election in 2020.

I don’t care what millions of citizens do; everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But what he did was several times worse than what she did (which was still terrible) and yet the official statement from his employer is very hands-off while the official statement from her employers was scornful and chastising and they fired her in less than a day.

And I have no problem with the way the Roseanne thing played out at all. I don’t care about the show, and I support the idea that people who do terrible things should be punished by public backlash. I just have no idea why the producers of Empire didn’t release a statement similar to the one about Roseanne that said how terrible his actions were and then terminating him immediately.
