Fortunately, e-gaming is the natural evolution of sports. And gender is basically irrelevant in that universe, ultimately. So it won't matter if you're a bio girl or guy or a trans girl or guy when we're mashing keys to get points in competitive play.

I don't watch sports anyway. Anyone can go to a gym. Anyone can be a soldier. And aside from passing the time, that's all sports really were ever meant for to begin with: to create ultra-competitive, strongmen to fight in wars.

So maybe the entire conversation is pointless at this point. And if you enjoy sports, there's nothing stopping you from going local and discriminating your team rules however you see fit. Once someone tries to change that on your team, just arrange games by carrier pigeon and play somewhere else.
