AP to be removed from exploiters

By your comment I interpret that you would never do such a thing and never did.

Now imagine this:

You found this weird bug, and just imagine for a second, it got the better of you and you took advantage of it. Blizzard reacts and bans you and the gains will be taken away. Put yourself in this spot. In good spirit you would probably think "In hindsight I deserved that and this taught me a lesson".

Now imagine two different scenarios:

1)

a) You get banned for two days only, because you never violated any ToS in all these years to punish you.

b) You get all gains removed days later once Blizzard sorted their side out.

2) You get banned for as long as it takes Blizzard to sort heir side out. Who knows, maybe a 4 days, maybe a week.

Scenario 2 seems very flawed and prone to inducing anger.

Another thing:

Imagine someone you know exploits everything he can in the game. He got banned multiple times already. He farmed the quest 200 times.

Scenarios:

1)

a) Blizzard bans him for 2 weeks because apparently he didn't get the message with shorter bans. Maybe this will teach him.

b) They find a way to remove his gains meanwhile.

2) He gets banned for as long as it takes Blizzard to sort their side out. Who knows, maybe a 4 days, maybe a week.

Again, this would be flawed again in my eyes. Why should he get the same punishment as you did. Of course, you could say, that in those cases they could apply set amount of time ban for him from the start. Yes. But that would simply overcomplicate things again. It would be multiple processes, additional work.

It's better to seperate those two steps so everyone falls under the same process and hope you erase the gains before the first people come back online.

Seriously, I couldn't care less if they lost their gains yesterday or next week.
