Apartment update: I have to move back to my toxic home :(

I’m worried you might be jumping the gun with the lead issue. What’s making you so certain the paint is lead-based? If it turns out that it’s not, breaking your lease could become difficult to negotiate. And, living for a year or so in a place with lead paint possibly sounds less toxic than living with your family? That’s up to you to decide though.

The other things you mentioned (bathroom mound, lack of parking, dirtiness) sound annoying but not insurmountable - and hopefully you should be able to clean the mound and general dirtiness to make the place more comfortable for you.

I’d say you should stop, take a breath and see if you can figure out why you’re feeling the way you are about the new place. It’s obvious that you’re stressed out about it, to the point that moving back home seems like a better option. I hope that you’re able to find the root cause of that stress and look at it in the light of day to decide whether moving back really is for the best.
