APD Says Its Own Over-Reporting Led To Appearance Of 'Aggressive' Rate Of Injury In Traffic Stops

I work for APD, but I'm just a lowly civilian office worker, so take anything I say with a grain of salt. My understanding of the situation was that APD was reporting EVERYTHING. Like, if someone squirmed in their handcuffs after a brawl on Dirty Sixth, that got reported, due to an abundance of caution and the fear of being accused of underreporting. The other agencies that APD was compared to in the article (i.e. every other agency in Texas that doesn't give a crap what policing activists have to say) were only reporting serious uses of force, and only those that occured during traffic stops. When APD went through their own data and applied that criteria, the number dropped to 80.
