I find it hard to apologize to my 13 year old because I feel like if we both did something then we should both apologize, but I ended up apologizing for my half and she has said something before like "I want to say it's ok but it's not" or other times she says nothing so I think she's thinking that, but then when I try to remind her that apologies go both ways if both people were wrong, she just goes silent. I find it frustrating because I know in general I don't apologize just to GET an apology but I still think as a parent I'm trying to teach her how apologies go and it just falls on deaf ears. I try to teach by example but she's never apologized for anything.
