Apparently the Knicks had a top scout at the last Nuggets game. What trade you think they could be looking at?

I think the scout indicates this is an end of the bench type trade being discussed. It makes yesterday’s injury designation of MPJ interesting though.

Maybe the Nuggets want to make a move but have scant budgetary room to do so. If it’s two Denver prospects for a guy who can play now plus a future pick, that’s not the type of trade fans could pinpoint with mere speculation.

OP, you stated a need for a stretch 5. Now I don’t know if the medical review process is different depending on the teams involved, but if Bol isn’t prohibited, maybe he’s on the list. He’s more properly a wing 4, but he’s also 7’2” and not getting the minutes to develop, so a move to NYK would probably be very welcome for him.

Note: A doctor for the Pistons ruled Bol out from a trade earlier this season due to an injury that doesn’t seem to be serious enough to have prevented everything from getting very close to executing, so the passage of time/Bol healing/a different doctor might make that deal possible, if he’s a player the Knicks would want. Frankly he’s an attractive player to develop, and I understand his frustrations, but building out his skill set hasn’t been the priority for the team’s front court.

For the Knicks, maybe they take a shot for six months and see what they can develop. Throw in that the Nuggets have too many guards for a true rotation especially once Jamal’s back in a few weeks (knock wood) and I think a package could be put together.

But, what could the Knicks offer? Maybe a solid SG, but I’m not sure who that would be, and I’m not sure we could get a true position upgrade if 1-2 guards go in the package. Yeah, I don’t really know who might be on offer who the Nuggets could use. I mean, I guess a 3 & D guy would always be helpful. But I don’t know who that team is looking to get rid of either.
