I would agree with not taking the players' word at face value if not for the very simple fact that a cheater would not go to such extreme lengths to save their characters once they are banned. They would just make a new one.

Yeah right a hacker for sure wouldn't care if his main 7 year old account with cosmetics etc. would be banned they for sure wouldn't do anything to get it back /s.

No because then people developing hacks would have a easy time knowing what they can do and what not. What part of their cheat gets detected and what not. You don't get the proper answer why you got banned in any online game for exact that reason.
