Apple CEO Tim Cook: Technology companies need to take responsibility for chaos they create

He's not wrong, but he's also not a hypocrite. So there's that...

Apple's phones (And others) have created a generation of addicted kids, while they (and others) have added parental controls, it was late for that. His devices have enabled kids to drain parents' credit cards and introduced password protected in-app purchases late in the game. His company's policies promote a world where we don't own our hardware and have little freedom with our software, where the right to repair does not exist, and the blunt power of government is used to suppress companies that just want to fix devices that Apple will not - A creation of disposable technology products laden with poisons.

Tim Cook decries his competitors, and although Apple's policies are in some ways better, they still leave a lot to be desired.
