Apple cut its sales forecasts for its key end of year period on Wednesday, citing the unforeseen “magnitude” of the economic slowdown in China

The Apple universe is good but the pricing is getting very hard. Apple Watch, latest model, 44mm, LTE, with apple care, about $750. iMac, 2TB, 27" $2,664. Don't recall what I paid for the iPhone 7+, but it wasn't cheap. iPad Air still giving good service, but really can't afford the iPad pro models plus pen, covers, etc. at $1,000 ballpark.

I'm off the upgrade cycle, for sure. I will keep my iphone 7 for as long as possible. Ditto for the iMac.

Apple builds good products, and so now I'll find out how good. If I can get four to five years of service off these devices, I'm good with it.

The new models are nice but the upgrades are far from necessary.
