Right, so conscription, which overwhelmingly affects men, is a “human rights issue”.

But domestic violence, which affects a huge number of men, but a larger number of women, is a women’s issue?

What gives? To be clear, I object to the general attitude of even describing “issues” in terms of gender. Domestic violence is a human/social/mental health problem. It’s not gendered. Neither are workplace fatalities (which overwhelmingly affect men).

All issues, with the notable exception of things biologically restricted to one sex or the other (prostate cancer, pregnancy, etc.) are human issues. So stop making it only about the poor, awful, hard plight of the modern woman.
