The Surface line is generally fantastic. No doubt about it.

But really, it’s in the same price class as Mac systems, especially for options like the Surface Book or Surface Laptop.

I will say that if you want an iPad that does a little more software-wise it’s a great choice. Apple could make some pretty small tweaks to iPad’s version of iOS to close that gap. File management and the way apps share information needs to be improved.

Still, Windows is the barrier in the sense that Surface won’t really be a superior tablet in terms of tablet software. Yes, it has superior desktop software, but surely there must be tablet apps missing on the windows store compared to iOS.
