Apple sued after admitting to slowing down iPhones

Yeah, avoiding updates like I suggested can be a good way of avoiding unwanted changes, but of course there are definitely plenty of good features of updates that many people will see as being worth the risk which makes perfect sense. Just wanted to chime in with my experience with Apple. I also know that at this point it's about time I get a new phone and am planning on getting one soon though unsure what phone I'll be getting. I like to make things last but I definitely won't be sticking with the 4S for another 4 years. Technology moves fast and old products need to be replaced to be kept up to date. I just am glad I'm not one of the people that feel the need to buy a new one every year or 2.. I think those are the types of customers that allow Apple to be so successful. A phone should be made to last at least 3-5 years IMO. I also have been using a Macbook Pro for about 8 years and am about to update, the price of Macbooks and obvious dumb moves that Apple is making lately make it an easy choice for me to switch to PC.

The thing that bugs me the most is that my friends and I have been talking about this for years (how companies like Apple are secretly pulling shady moves to trick people into buying new products). I'm 100% sure that this isn't the only ridiculous move they're pulling on consumers.
