Apple surpasses 2 billion active devices.

Seeing that you are getting squashed with all the downvotes, i will explain why this is a BIG deal.

Having control on an hardware gives a company IMMENSE power to control every aspect of the user behavior

One of the MAIN reasons Apple is unstopable is because of their design and User interface

Because they are able to control the hardware, and all its componets. They are able to set the ‘ rules’ of the os, and make it absolutely seamless and efficient to unmatched standards

And because iOS doesnt cater to other manufacturers- the OS is specially built for apple devices, and the Apple devices are optimized for the OS.

Having control of the entire Ecosystem means they are extremely rigid with goes in and out of their devices.

This is besides the immense amount of Data collection Apple gets ( which is even more than any Android device)

When multiple manufacturers are involved, the experience is NOT consistent across all Android devices. The $400 Android device will be very different( in exp) compared to the $1500 one

Where as for Apple- the overall user experience will be same across the board- the differences would be camera/maybe rendering and other Hd sizes. This builds customer base( and trust)

And Finally- because Apple is selling the ‘ecosystem’ they make a shit ton of money.

Apple sells the hardware( worth 1000s of $ AND services AND collects the data)

As compared to Google who ONLY gets the Data( and maybe few other services)
