Application viewed but no response

Hi OP! I'm the office manager and sole recruiter for a company in New England, and I receive around 350 applications per day for a couple job postings I have up for positions trying to be filled.

I try to dedicate about 75% of my day to recruiting to keep up with the demand and be timely, but my duties include reviewing resumes on Indeed and other sites, inviting candidates to apply on our company website, contacting them to schedule phone interviews, holding phone interviews, scheduling and coordinating second interviews via video with another manager, running background checks, conducting reference checks, sending job offers, coordinating start dates and training, and preparing onboarding documentation.

I've been working from home during the pandemic, and my days typically stretch to about 11-12 hours. I almost always never clear my recruiting 'to-do list' by the end of each day. Generally when I am reviewing resumes on Indeed, I reach out to only the ones I would like to apply; I simply don't have enough time to reach out to every single candidate that presses 'apply'. I'm not sure how other companies operate, but I'm sure there are several recruiters that are similar to me.

With that said, I always check Indeed messages first and address those candidates that took the time to message me. I highly recommend following up via messaging on Indeed if that is an option for you so you can get some closure, or a reason for why your resume was not selected. I hope this feedback helps!
