APS board decides not to approve more in-person learning (tabled until next meeting in 2 weeks)

New Mexico is now only one of four states in the US that isn't open for school. This needs to stop. The kids are suffering.

Everyone that lives here thinks the rest of the world is walled off and closed down and sitting at home. The opposite couldn't be more true. Every state around us is open. We continue to remain shut down despite our numbers being in line with everyone else's, who's states are already open.

Having young children out of school for an entire year (plus more knowing our school board) is going to be mentally damaging. Our state is going to be behind in education for YEARS to come down the road.

Regardless of your opinion on the governors actions, or the school board vote, the kids are suffering and no one gives a fuck.

"Science and data" right? The rest of the country has decided that kids can go back and learn. One of only 4 states now still closed. Embarrassing.
