[AR] What to expect if I file harassment with HR?

The company is actually headquartered in Massachusetts, the CEOs live in California, and the company has employees in every state and internationally. I am one of three employees in Arkansas, but none of us live anywhere near one another or have any interaction. Most of my team live somewhat near Houston, TX because the company HIGHLY favors internal referrals.

We were forced today (there was literally no saying no) to vote for what is the equivalent of “employee of the quarter” because our department has never had an employee get the “award.” So, the four regional managers of our department told their team leads to email all of us a ballot (that the team leads had to create themselves) with only the four people in our department who were nominated. We were kept in a tele-meeting until all of us emailed our votes back to the team leads. 6/8 people on my specific team, myself included, have had no interaction at all with the four people on this “ballot.” The two who had any idea who these people were still had no idea if they were good or bad employees. A few people who care WAY more than me kept asking questions about how we were supposed to vote for people we didn’t know. It took an hour for everyone to give up, and randomly chose someone. I chose the one person I’d literally ever heard of before. Whatever.

Our specific supervisor was out for the day conveniently from noon to 5pm (meeting happens daily at 1:30pm). She made her team lead create a fake ballot, email it to the team, and made her handle an hour long meeting full of questions about the ballot she couldn’t answer. If the team lead wasn’t the absolute henchman of verbal abuse for the supervisor, I might have felt bad for her. As it was, I sat there listening to everyone else complain while I worked on other stuff, and then emailed my fake ass ballot at the one hour mark. Sucks to suck.
