This is what I find problematic with your statement, you say the west is far from perfect. But you don't say, the Muslim world is far from perfect. You simply despise the Muslim world and I gathered from your responses that it really isn't about gays or women's issues. The west has started legal wars, toppled governments, kept Muslim nations from progressing by installing puppets and dictators. These are all part of western foreign policy. Millions up on million have been killed because of how west chooses to act in the Muslim world. UN sanctions on Iran... Who was the victim of these sanctions, The common Iranian. Sanctions on Iraq after the gulf war, half a million people died, before oil for food program was implemented, essential extortion of Iraq's resources.

What was done in Guantanamo... Killing of people... What's going on in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Ukrain...

Domestic cells for political activists. These are innocent people being arrested, tortured and often killed. This is happening in the US.

I'm not taking about apples and oranges... The fact of the matter is when the western government commit atrocities that they make legal...no one sees these countries and their ideologies the way they see Muslims. It's the status quo to ignore what the west does and focus on what the Muslims do.

I also Noticed, no mention of Israel's anti gay laws. No mention of Israel being an openly racist state. No mention of France's double standards on freedom of speech and expression laws, when it comes to Muslims. They banned the burqa. They made hijab in schools illegal. They made pro Palestinian demonstrations illegal. There definitely is a double standard. The laws reflect it.

When you ignore the chaos the west is responsible for, to look at barely a hand full of gays that have been killed and say that is why I hate Islam and Muslims. It's pretty telling of these excuses only being a cover to justify your disdain.
