I think you can bow hunt in the Jefferson National Forest. You can't cut branches or put bolts into trees though.

One of my VT college of ag classmates from back in the 90s is a farmer and has the big dairy farm just off Prices Fork on Merrimack Road across from the St. Micheal Lutheran Church. I haven't seen him in years and have no idea if he lets anyone bow hunt on his farm but it was a pretty nice spread of about five or six hundred acres so wouldn't hurt to ask. His name is Jeff Wall and he is a really nice guy.

There used to be a butcher shop down there on Merrimack Road who would process deer meat if you killed one. The place was called custom meats if I remember correctly, not sure if it is still there or not, been a few years since I graduated.
