Arctis Pro + GameDAC: Switching from headset to speakers

I know how to have them both active at once;

I found that if I use Optical output from my PC to the DAC instead of USB (which retains 7.1 surround and is actually clearer and much louder imo)... I can then use the optical output from the steelseries DAC and use my desk speakers and headphones at the same time (the optical line out on the Steel Series DAC duplicates the input and is always on). I only had stereo speakers so I had to purchase a digital to analog audio converter but it was only $8.89 (link at the bottom). I still connect the USB though because the Steelseries app still works all options on the DAC from inside windows (just set your PC sound to output to to "Optical"). I had to set the Steelseries DAC to "PS4" which basically translates to "optical or "topslink" in). What is also cool is that because I am using an "onboard audio controller" all of my recording stuff (like NVidia shadow play) will still record video in-game with my voice and friends voices from within Discord without adding additional apps like virtual cable or something similar. All of the functions on the DAC like chatmix, etc also still work.
