Why are al-Qaeda and ISIS considered "Islamic Fundamentalists" or "Muslim Extremists" but the Buddhists in Myanmar and Sri Lanka engaging in genocide aren't considered "Buddhist extremists" or "Buddhist fundamentalists"?

Before you downvote, please argue against or point out how I am wrong:

Because in the Quran there are many passages that talk about it being okay to commit war and die in the name of "Allah". In addition it says that it is perfectly okay to kill non-believers. Essentially when you take the Quran to the logical extreme, it involves war and death against the non-believers. If anyone does not believe me, there is a full chapter in the Quran (Chapter 8) that outlines this very directly, and all the rules that you should follow in war.

There is no such thing in Buddhism. There is no teaching that involves killing non Buddhists to get 72 virgins in heaven.
